Looking at the three words above can give you the feeling you just left a motivational seminar. That's not a bad thing. That is of course unless you choose to ignore the impulses your subconscious generates when you read or hear these words. Photography, like any other career or avocation, requires great effort, commitment, and dedication to be good. Having the latest and greatest equipment will certainly improve your chances of "getting the shot!" But it will not take the place of making the effort to plan the shot, getting out the door at 4:00 am to get there long before the sunrise, and sitting and waiting for the "perfect moment" before pushing the shutter release. Having the ambition to want to succeed, the determination to work hard, and the intensity to maintain concentration and energy until the job is complete will do it every time. Plan to succeed in your photography. Dedicate yourself to the ideas and images you want to capture, and then don't stop until you have what you want.
Keep shooting!
